The awards ceremony, held over two days on Nov 16th and 17th, features actress Nam Ji-hyun, NewJeans’ Hanni and aespa’s Winter as hosts.
NewJeans’ Minji caught everyone’s attention on the red carpet with a daring look that included an unzipped skirt, showcasing her unique fashion sense.
NewJeans started their performance trapped in a purple cage at the center of the arena. After escaping from the purple cage, NewJeans showcased a dreamy and soft stage of “Right Now”. In “Right Now”, they used a desk and a sofa to create a unique blend of elegance and intensity.
They then performed “Bubble Gum” live with a band, showing their freedom and enjoyment on stage. Even while performing with handheld microphones, NewJeans delivered a flawless live performance, demonstrating their talents.
When NewJeans performed “How Sweet”, they shouted to the audience “Shout out loud!” and got them to cheer. They also showed an engaging performance with a one-take camera, avoiding any monotony.
In “Supernatural”, they used standing microphones and displayed perfect coordination among the members. Together with the dancers, they heated up the atmosphere of the venue even more.
In particular, Hanni, who co-hosted the KGMA with Nam Ji-hyun, showed no signs of fatigue and delivered an energetic performance, proving her skills.
The 2024 KGMA is a new popular music awards ceremony presented by the leading entertainment and sports magazine Ilgan Sports. It is organized by Ilgan Sports (Edaily M) and the KGMA Organizing Committee. The event is held over two days, on Nov 16th and 17th, with the first day being Artist Day and the second day themed Song Day.
